Get to know Shebnem – Intern, Consumer & Market Knowledge (CMK) – Iberia
I joined P&G as an Intern in Consumer Market Research (CMK) in March 2013, whilst studying a Double Degree in International Management at European School of Business (Reutlingen University, Germany) and at Instituto Católico de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (Comillas Pontifical University Madrid, Spain).
I was directly involved in the daily business of my department and received an “Onboarding Plan” to find the way to my new position in the company. I was very surprised how much responsibility I was given and how much importance was set on my personal contribution to relevant topics from the very first moment. After only a few weeks in CMK I lead my first big project. Although I was planning and conducting everything by myself, my team was always there to help and support me.
The thing I love the most about my internship in CMK is the diversity of the projects I work on and the big impact that I can make on shaping the strategy of the company. There are no two days alike and no project is comparable to the other. The daily business of my department consists of being an ambassador for millions of consumers and being a consultant for different functions of the company. With the understanding we have about consumers and markets, we are not only making life easier for people in the company, but also for people all over the world.
